Seto glared at Atem. “Fuck you,” he spat. “Fuck you and your hypocritical half-assed promises. Would you have said anything just to get me to stop fighting you? For what? Some glorified notion of friendship? No thanks.”
“Isono, bring me to a hotel. I want to be alone.”
Atem’s head whipped around so fast it cracked his neck. Heat raced up his spine warming to an uncomfortable level. A zinger is what he believed it was called and it hurt. His hand reached up to cup the bare skin as if somehow that would stop the pain and the slightly lightheaded feeling it was causing. Atem had no such luck. Through the pain he gritted, “You are NOT being left alone, Seto.”
He would have no such thing. He didn’t care if he had to MAGIC him to his damn flat, Seto would be spending the evening in his care, because…well because he CARED dammit. “Isono you will do no such thing.” Isono frowned at Atem in the rear-view mirror, but his deep voice rumbled in agreement. No he would not be taking Seto to a hotel. He would be taking him to Atem’s.
Atem normally would have smirked in victory, teased Seto endlessly over this, but no. Not right now. Now was certainly not the time. “Thank you Isono.” He said softly and the driver gave the slightest nod in answer. “You can hate me all you want Kaiba.” Atem said softly. “But the people who care for you, aren’t going to let you be alone right now. You can go in the spare room and not talk to me if that’s what you wish, but you need to have someone with you right now. I’m making it my duty to watch over and take care of you.” Atem wasn’t even certain how long that would take. He honestly didn’t care. He would gladly help Kaiba through this if it took days, weeks, months, or even years. He had no issue with helping him out as long as he needed, which would likely be in Seto’s mind a much shorter time than what Atem was anticipating, still, he would be here.
He had left Seto once. He didn’t want to think about the time he was gone. What damage it caused to all of his friends. Atem knew his choice hurt many people, but he HAD no other choice. His thoughts came to a halt, along with the limo. “We are here.” Isono announced. “Now….” Atem turned to Seto. “Are you going to get out of the car, or do I have to have Isono haul you up there like a sack of potatoes?”
